I flew on 2019-08-02 from LAX to CDG. It was the first time that I got aslep duing a flight (almost 5h on a 10h 10' flight!). I am 1.73 m high and 68 kg weight. I tried bussines class in the past on AF and IB flights but was unable to sleep. I think that the reason why is this new configuration with higher privacy on window seats, since you are alone... By the way, flight attendants were extremely polite and food quality was rather good.

This seat should be labelled "bad seat". The emergency door protrudes quite a bit so you do not have much leg space, but what is worse is that there is no window and the curvature of the plane greatly decreases the space one would normally have. Terrible if you are a tall person like me. Luckily the flight attendant found me a regular seat in the back. I would not have survived 11 hours in this seat!

Extremely uncomfortable. This clam design is too narrow. I had to sit with my knees together and bent in the diagonal space. No room to sit with feet directly in front and the space with the seat was extremely narrow and no space for feet under seat. I spent most of the flight with my sitting side-wards with my legs hanging in the aisle. I an 177cm (5ft. 11inch). I noticed everyone in the cabin was noticeably shorter than myself. I weigh 117. I have discovered that people of my height and weight or above have the same problem as myself. This seating arrangement is only suitable for smaller people, who find it comfortable. This is a design problem, Air France must be aware of this, but they don't warn passenger about this problem

The 40-inch pitch is very misleading. The padding on these seats is thicker than most and so is the structure of the seat -- so you get good support but your knees are still close to the seatback in front of you. Once you try to 'recline' (there is NO recline) your knees will nearly touch the seat in front -- I'm 5'8". These clamshell seats are pretty but more difficult to sleep in than a standard seat. The seat cushion slides forward and the seatback slides down, but you get no actual recline. There is an immovable, wide armrest b/t the seats -- AF would have been wiser using wider seats with a thinner profile and allowing actual recline. The foot rest cannot be lowered if you have anything stored in the footwell; the seat support also reduces the width of this space. All-in-all very much NOT worth the upgrade price.

Good Seat. No seat in front so a lot of leg room is available. The cabin in front is closed off with a curtain so not a whole lot of traffic going past. Only downside is no storage in front of you.

My first flight in the new BEST Premium Eco, for a 7 hours flight between Dubai and CDG. Premium Eco has indeed improved the comfort of the seat cushion (I did CDG - ATL and back in the original configuration of Premium Eco two weeks before). Still not enough recline to sleep. As we departed late, I did not see any meal service in this cabin until the breakfast (while meal was served in Eco...). Main problem is the price AF asks for the new business seats. Upgrading PE - Biz is also extremely expensive (750 or 99000 miles for this flight). Conclusion: ok for 7-8 hours.

Sat in seat 36K from IAD-CDG a bit over a week ago. While it is true that the recline is not as great, there's still enough 'give' in the seat that you shouldn't finish the flight with a backache; it is, on the whole, a reasonably comfortable seat.

Flew from New York to Paris, night flight. Very large business class cabin, 15 rows, holding 58 passengers. In my opinion this detracts from the provision of eFxcellent service. Obviously the cabin crew have a large number of passengers to serve when business class is fully occupied which it was on our flight. By the time our order for the meal was taken there was no choice left. If I were to fly this configuration again I would book seats in rows 3 to 6. The seat itself, 17E was comfortable, adjusted to a fully lie flat bed. The privacy screen can be removed if you are travelling with a companion.

The seat 49A and 49B is very inconfortable due to a seat offset from the seats 48 ABC. Screen, table. the worst is the seat armrest from 48 A and 48B gets stuck in our knees. I think that's the same problems to the east 49 KL In conclusion, these seats are in Red. I have a picture if you want.

Air France's "premium economy" is not as comfortable as similar options on Qantas, Cathay Pacific, etc. The seat I sat in (23k) had a leg rest, but the back part of the seat reclined less than a normal coach/economy seat. While there is indeed more space in the cabin, the seat itself isn't comfortable -- I experienced three days of lower back pain after this flight. Probably best to stay in coach or just pay a bit more to upgrade to Air France's solid business class offering. I would not fly in this Air France cabin again.

I enjoyed my night flight in seat 16E. As compared to KLM's version of the 777, sleep comfort in the Air France version is somewhat better. However, during daytime I noticed that the adjustment options are somewhat limited. As you might expect from a French airline, the food is good, but not better than KLM.

the seat is narrow for tall people and large people. I am 181cm for 90kg and of reasonable muscular body (normal). when sleeping, the full flat cannot be enjoyed because the seat is narrow for the shoulders and elbows. Else service is dpendent on crew, sometime Arrogant sometime just lovely. inb general airfrance Crew should assist a bit more people with young children in getting them seated... it is just ouitrageous how they can treat single mothers with young kids,.

This seat had both USB (on the video screen) and a multi-type outlet (under the seat). Unfortunately, the only window visible was mostly behind my seat, so it was uncomfortable to look for long. As a woman of average height, my leg room was not restricted by the bulky emergency exit.

quite a good option if you only want to be sat with your partner as the rest of the cabin is claustrophobic. Good legroom with space at the window seat to store shoes. worth paying the extra to reserve in advance

It is a seat with extra charge. While it has very good leg room and though seat width is same, the room is better (three seat changed into two), and the window seat has room between the window, due to the shape of plane. Very nice seat.

Duo seat is nice for couples, while this 35A and 35B has limited recline degree. Also, the noise may be very bothersome. Especially the loud flushing noise. Ear plugs are necessary.

Travel from SIN to CDG on Sept 23rd with the new business "Cocoon" class. Good improvements compared to the old business, many facility. Services on the table, no more trolleys, no more tray. Crew very nice and professional, available at any time. 4 corners bars available with Nespresso, Ice cream, drinks, and A la Carte menu. I slept 8hrs and watching 3 movies on the new 15" HD screen. AF business class is better than KLM one , more privacy Keep going AF... I fully recommend this seat on this route

I was in 6A. Very comfortable, very private, was close to restroom, was never bothered by anyone in the aisle. Service excellent, they should not serve beef at is well done but the rest of the food was very nice. I slept very comfortably for over 4 hours. Between KLM World Business Class and Air France on this configuration, I think they are the more comfortable than any others I have flown.

seat 29L and 29K are not directly in line with the seat or entertainment center. I would be very leery of booking these seats - I find them less than optimal with the middle seat having access to my foot areas and overreaching for the entertainment panel.

A very good seat - because it is near the front of the plane, it is one of the first to get served when the meals come around. The new AF lie-flat seats are very comfortable and there is good storage room for odds and ends.

Seats 15L and 15A are located on a part of the palne that vibrates during flight. I could not sleep on the flat bed as the whole body was vibrating from the seat. The Chef de Cabine, came, sat in the seat and confirmed the Situation. I strongly recommend to avoid this seat.

My husband and I traveled from IAD to CDG on this flight mid-May. All I can say it WOW! The seat-pods are extremely comfortable. While my husband can drop off to sleep anywhere, this has been the first time that I have ever been able to sleep on a flight. FA were very attentive and meal selection and quality well above average.

Mind the fact that the last two-seat rows (AB, KL) are a bit separated from the actual windows, so even when L and A seem to be appealing due to the 2 pax vs 3 pax per area, you cannot really lay over the window (which is the usual excuse to get the window seat) to sleep nicely. This can be a problem in long int'l flights.

Very good Seat arrangement for the long haul flight. Flew from NRT>CDG and was able to relax and sleep in this seat, which is sadly not always the case. As this seat is in the smaler forward section of business class you don't get any through traffic except the FA during service, which is very good for peace and quite. In my opinion is this the at the moment best business class arrangement in the skys.
