Overview

Singapore Airlines has invested nearly SGD$95 million to refit ten Boeing 777-200ER aircraft with new long-haul cabin products to provide customers with additional space and comfort. Business class seats will now convert into full-flat beds. In Business and economy, personal television displays have been made larger to 15.4 inches and 9 inches respectively. This aircraft will first operate between Singapore and Amersterdam and then will serve more destinations in Europe, India, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

My wife and I recently flew this version from Singapore to Brisbane. I highly recommend seats 47A & 47C. Ideal for couples and I believe these seats had more recline than the standard economy seats, without the worry of disturbing people behind you. The proximity to the toilet was not an issue. Their is an attendants cupboard immediately behind theses seats then the toilet. Reserve these seats if traveling as a couple!

Bad seat. Limited legroom: the space under the front seat is 50% occupied by an immovable metallic box, resulting unconfortable even for the use of the footrest. The backrest was impossible to recline, but this may just the case of this one single aircraft.

The seat provides a lot of leg room as there is no seat in the front, this though implies that the personal screen and table must be extracted from the left armrest. The proximity to the lavatories allows to choose the perfect time to use them avoiding the queue of the most jammed moments.

Ohhh, what a terrible seat for around +600 SEK extra, priority seat. Extra legroom. Ok, but you can not store anything and the entertainment system i sooo bad. The sound and screen is terrible. Paid additional fee for that seat as a priority seat. Ok for legroom but close to toilet and the extremely bad screen and sound system the travel was a real nightmare. I do not recall SA as a goog carrier anymore.

Ohhh, the seat was weardown in a very old aircraft. The Kris World is ok but the screen have a very low resolution and seems very old. The sound system is really just shit. Service just above acceptable. Food taste shit. Dirty toilettes. Overall you pay to much for a travel with Singapore Airlines..

50C is a great seat if you're tall (I'm 6'2"/189cm). People sitting to your left can move out to the aisle without you having to get out of your seat. Proximity to the lavatories is bothersome though, especially after the meals when people line up. Really old planes by the way. The entertainment system must be 20 years old and there are no power outlets anywhere in Economy class.

The plane used on the CPH-SIN-CPH route are non-refurbished 777. Seat adjustment is poor and the business cabin is worn. Entertainment system is 15-20 years old (lack of movie etc selection) and the screens are of poor quality. Way behind Qatar and Emirates on service and quality.

Flew this config CHC-SIN. Business class seat allows for a comfortable sleep (I am 6'1"/185cm tall) albiet on a diagonal, and bed is a little lumpy. Plenty of storage around seat. Privacy is good. If travelling with a partner, centre seats allow for maximum interaction.

There is a metal box on the floor under the seat (perhaps a control unit for the inflight entertainment) which restricts leg room to half the normal width for all row D seats in economy class.

I flew Singapore to Amsterdam last year on this plane in Business Class having seat 12A which was against the wall. My agent had suggested it saying it gave more privacy. This was true. The service was excellent however after looking forward very much to being able to lie flat, I found that the head end was nkt so flat and my body had to lie diagonally with feet only just fitting into the little box area. I'm only 167cms (5'6") so no giant. Don't know how taller people go with it. I'm aboutto return to Singapore from Paris on an A380, same class, same seats so it will be interesting the see the difference.

This seat is very uncomfortable in an upright position as you cannot recline or alter the headrest, it is a hard surface and you feel you are in a tunnel when in flat position. I am suffering a stiff and painful neck following our long flight from Milan to Sydney, particularly from the second leg Singapore to Sydney, I would not fly on this aircraft again unless it is improved.

SIA has new seats of which the backrest folds onto the cushion and then forms a nice 100% flat bed. BUT as long as one is SITTING, it is on a cushion that is no more than 7 cm thick and underneath is a hard surface. Sitting is therefore a drama in this seat. 2)Every seat forms a kind of compartment. Seats in row DF are adjoining but the passengers cannot see eachother. Nice if you travel alone, but not so if you travel as a couple.
