This seat is smaller than normal. I'm 5'8" and my knees were pressed into the seat back in front of me. Not the norm for me on this route and plane. Very very cramped.

Perfectly acceptable plane for the flight from Vancouver to San Francisco. The seat was comfortable with decent legroom -- more than that of the 787-9 Dreamliner that I had just come off of. Good entertainment and service.

Have not travelled AC Rouge for the last 7/8 years due to the uncomfortable seats. This time it was a team group travel so had no choice. I paid extra for my seat . Well worth it! Lots of leg room. Fairly good view out the window. Will fly Rouge again and book Row 12.

Agreeing with other comments. Do *not* take the window seat in 23F. The leg room is significantly less than the middle seat because of the configuration of plane equipment under the seat, 23D has ample space, but 23F looses about 4 inches of leg space. Also the window is misaligned so it is shared half with the seat in front of you. I am 5'8'' and found this exceptionally tight. I put up with it for a 3 hours flight, but anything longer and for any one taller, be warned.

HELL IN THE SKY. Its fine if you don't have legs but for those of use who do; you won't be able to move them at all for the duration of the flight. To be fair this is Air Canada Rouge, their cheapo airline but had I known when booking I would have opted for the more expensive option.

Suffered every minute of this 5 hour flight! Seats very close together, no leg room, very uncomfortable. Surprised AC would configure the seats on this plane for an international flight. Agree with earlier post, AC get real and remove this plane/seat configuration from your fleet!

Seat 17D is in the row behind the exit aisle. Ahead is a jump seat for the flight crew, then a normal middle seat and window seat. Seat 17D does not have underseat storage in front, nor a monitor to watch movies. The table is in the left armrest. The SG comments do not indicate the following additional issues: 1.) There is no power point at this seat even though it is identified as having one. 2.) The monitor is located in the arm, which is fine but the arm is not very long so if you require reading glasses, you will need to wear them. 3.) If there is additional leg room for 17D and E, it is very little. I had expected to be able to squeeze past those seats without disrupting people in my row. This is definitely not possible.

Exit Row 17 considered premium seating on Air Canada's A119 is good but not great. 17A & 17F have no row 16 ahead of them so there is unlimited legroom, underseat storage is under seat 15A and the TV is on a stick. 17B & 17C do seem to have more legroom but I could not tell it visually from regular economy spacing. The main advantage is that Row 16 is also an exit row so the seats do not recline and invade your space.

Should be ilegal to fly in this kind of aircraft. Chairs are so close together cause air canada is cheap? It makes the 5 hours a nightmare and they charge for the meal. Nowhere else you will see that. Come on air canada get with the program.

Avoid flying this airline if you can. Seats were not only dirty, but extremely uncomfortable. There is no leg room at all. My knees touched/hit the seat in front of me. When you put your tray table down and the person in front of you reclines their seat, you get the tray table drove into your torso. Absolutely horrible product for Canada's so called flagship carrier. This airline should be called Rude, not Rouge!

Although I do concur with the "best seat" opinion of the pop-up box when hovering over this seat on the map, I must point out that actually being behind a closet (as indicated) and not a regular galley bulkhead wall, you DO get a very nice "hole" under the closet allowing pax plenty of stretching-out foot space as well as adequate stowage for your "personal item" carry-on during take-off. The only negative I have was a lack of seatback padding that made for a fidgety flight. Highly recommend this seat and if an upgrade to Biz is offered at check-in, (on-line or kiosk) the now much reduced added cost of moving up with all the extra benefits is worth it. Will post photo in the gallery if possible.

I was able to upgrade to Business Class for only 6 e-upgrade credits and it was well worth it even for the short flight. The seat comments on the map say there is limited leg room but I didn't find that. I'm not tall but it was very easy to get by the aisle seat without the individual there needing to move. The movie screen is a little further away than a regular seat but with the window curtain closed, I had no issues seeing the screen. The meal was very good and the flight attendant very professional and courteous.

Comfortable window seat. The video screen for the window and aisle seat are in the two business class seats in front of you and are a little offset. For the middle seat, it's in the armrest. Since there's no bulkhead, you can store your hand luggage in the seat in front of you.

I paid an extra $40 for this seat which didn't recline! Also I noticed that seat 12B was narrower than A or C???? Armrests in this row were built in molded plastic which meant bruises each time you climbed out. Row 13, 14 and 15 ( extra charges) had flexible arm rests.

Such an uncomfortable seat. Extra leg room because its emergency aisle and there is no seat in front of you. However it has reduced seat width due to the table tray is in one armrest and the TV is in the other. Very narrow seat for the average person.

This was the most uncomfortable seat i have ever had on a flight. I am 5'8 and could not get my knees together. I had knee replacement surgery on July 22, 2015 so this made it even more uncomfortable. That coupled with the ground staff being so unhelpful means that i will never flr Rouge again.

If you are 2 adults travelling with a baby this seat is ideal because it is beside the washroom. Convenient for diaper changes or any kind of maintainance. Plus you are not stuck with a third person or stranger that might feel uncomfortable specially if you are breastfeeding. If you want privacy its a good seat.

For $45 extra each way, it was well worth it to have an extra 5" leg room. But since the seat was in the front, you were placed in zone 5 - last to board the plane so finding space for your luggage was next to impossible. Be very careful of this.

I found this seat was quite comfortable. Seats 12 A/C/D/F all have a TV screen on the business class seat in front. The middle seats B and E have a video screen in the armrest. Since there is no bulkhead, I could store my bag under the seat in front of me. The curtain wasn't an issue. It didn't extend as far as my TV screen. You also get served first and get off the aircraft quickly. On Air Canada, there is a surcharge as it is a preferred seat.

All the seats in Row 12 have immovable armrests and seemingly tight/narrow seats. In particular with 12E and 12B you do not have a tv screen. A privacy curtain between this row and Business class is just above you. Very uncomfortable row. Even if you get lucky to have the entire row you won't be able to lie down on all three seats as the armrests are solid and don't lift up.

I have flown Air Canada for 40+ years and have always had adequate legroom. Not so on this plane. It is extremely tight - there should be a warning. The lady opposite had her knees touching the seat and she was 5'7" tall.

These seats are extremely tight. If you have someone in your party who is tall they will be very uncomfortable. Also you can feel the knees of the people behind you when they move around.

As the a/v console is in one arm rest, and the tray table is in the other arm rest, there is indeed a slight reduction in seat width for this seat.
