This seat has a space to the left of it and aligns behind 68E. The seat itself is easy enough to get out of, but can be restrictive if 68D is declined and you're a larger person. The seats are narrow and I was lucky enough to not have anyone beside me, but if this was a full flight then this would be a good seat choice. The only thing to be mindful of is that sometimes the crew will park the drinks/food trolley in the space beside you if a passenger is trying to get past. Otherwise you may get bumped if there's a queue for the bathrooms. All seats are packed in too close together and very narrow - it becomes very uncomfortable if the seat in font of you is reclined.

My flight was YVR-HKG. The 23A seat is the last row of business class. For Row 20-23, you would expect all premium econ and econ passengers walking pass for boarding. During flight, premium econ passengers would walk to business class for toilet. I would suggest Row 11-19 for better experience.

This seat is one of the worst seats I have ever seen. Luckily there was space and we could move. 3-4-3 in a 777 is tight for width anyway, however these seats are incredibly tight. The controls for the inflight entertainment protrude into the seat by 2.5cm/1in and make a tight seat even worse. Also this seat is hard against the door and your legs will freeze. These comments are for 43 HJK as well.

This was the last row in premium economy and this particular seat has a mechanical box on the floor directly in front of this seat. It is also situated so that the space for operable 'foot rest' is impeded on the left hand side. So your left foot will not be able to comfortable rest on the left side and you have to hang your foot off of the foot rest on the left hand side. IT SUCKED!!!

This variant has 10 seats per row in economy (3/4/3) - as opposed to 9 (3/3/3) in other configurations. To achieve this the seats are less comfortable, and you are closer to the person in the next seat. The seat width may be more-or-less the same, but there is more than your bottom that needs space. Importantly, the other thing done is to make the aisle narrower so that if you have an aisle seat you are inevitably going to get banged in to during the flight, and that could mean you are woken up. Not a quality move by Cathay. That coincides with other quality cuts not specific to this seat plan. I will choose a different airline if I can in future. I must have had a 100 plus flights with Cathay, but their attitude is changing. And so is mine.

On both legs of my trip from LAX to HK my Cathay flight had the 3:4:3 configuration of seats. I will never fly an airline longhaul like this again. I have never had a worse flight, it was beyond cramped with no legroom, the most narrow seat and the curve of the aircraft impeding my space. A really terrible seat on a really terrible flight. I used love Cathay, but since they've changed the number of seats in economy, I won't fly anymore.
