Thai Airways offers audio selections in all classes of service. The A380 is equipped with the AVOD eX2 system which provides all its passengers with the same audio and video selections throughout the plane, from Economy to Royal Silk or First Class with 395 music albums and 30 games.

Overview

Thai Airways became the ninth carrier to launch the Airbus A380 when the carrier introduced the aircraft in September of 2012 to their fleet. They currently have 6 aircraft on order and are flying a 3 class configuration with 12 seats in Royal First Class, 60 in Royal Silk Business Class, and 435 seats in Economy Class.

Passengers flying in First and Business Class can enjoy their flight in a fully Flat Bed seat. The Economy Class has been split between the main deck and upper deck, with the upper deck Economy cabin referred to as a “Baby-Free” Zone, as there are no bassinet accommodations for passengers in this section of the aircraft.

One of the first routes flown by the Thai A380 was between Bangkok and Hong Kong. However as Thai Airways introduces more of these aircraft throughout 2013, they will be adding routes to Frankfurt, Tokyo, Paris, Osaka, and Sydney.

I was in this seat for 12 hours and I was very uncomfortable. The leg rest is off centre so you cannot put your legs up comfortably. Also there is a bar straight through the middle so the leg rest doesn't even fold all the way down and you can't store your bag underneath the seat in front of you. I was not a happy bunny!

The best economy seat I've ever flown. 2-4-2 setup and plenty of room between the seat and the bulkhead means plenty of legroom and easy time to get to the aisle. Upper deck is noticeably quieter than lower deck. No kids/babies in this section also makes for a quieter flight. Two side cabinets next to the window for you put your things for easy access. My only complaint is that the IFE screen is too small for how far it is from the seat.

Thai obviously reserve these upper deck window seats for people who have bought an econ seat at in one of the higher class groups. But well worth paying the difference. Some of the only 'twosomes' on the 380, and with an extra little cabinet for small items below the window. row 76 comes with heaps of legroom. After some recent flights squeezed like sardines in a 777 or 787, this was a pleasant change

Seat 12A is affected by the galley and make it a little noisy and smelly. Also as your feet are into the wall to the lavatory you hear sometimes the flush. Thai Royal Orchid Service is standard. Meals are served dish by dish. But an my flight I would ask for wine or other dink for mealserivce. I get my first choice after bording the whole flight. Also all business guest get the same dessert. There was no choice acc. menu.

My 12th visit to Thailand, and my first and very definitely last time with Thai airways. On a journey that lasted almost 14 hours through a re route, I almost came to blows with the passenger in front of me who spend about 10 hours continually pushing his seat back into me in the hope that he could gain another inch of pitch. The fact that the IFE screen was almost touching my nose because of his recline contributed to the worst rvrt flight in my life. Add bland food, and a rubbish selection of in flight entertainment, much more expensive than comparable airlines, and never again Thai airways.

i flew overnight from Bangkok to London Heathrow on TG910 overnight flight on 12th December.. the seats are excellent, however the cabin crew noise from the galley for 12 hrs was totally unacceptable could not sleep due to the constant clattering & banging of carts against the bulkhead.... although a good airline, beacause of this irritating noise, i would choose another airline to travel with in first class

The aircraft had been in operation for 4.5 years but showed signs that a bit of maintenance was needed. My seat 61A had an entertainment box under the seat in front so leg room wasn't great. The USB socket also didn't work. Having flown most of the major carriers over the past years I was disappointed with Thai. The cabin crew went through the motions and very rarely gave you a smile.Both meals were over cooked.

A lot of recline (more than standard Econ. recline in other rows) as there is nobody behind you. This makes it the best Econ Seat on the A380, as you dont really notice the lavatory and or the people waiting for it, plus you get to have two storage boxes and recline for the entire flight!

This seat is ok, and is a designated handicapped seat, but your graphic which shows a bathroom just in front is wrong. It's a door that is closed after takeoff, and if a bathroom is there, it's for the captain only. The ONLY handicapped bathroom is at the very, very, very back of the plane. You try hobbling back 40+ rows in the dark, stumbling over legs, arms, and people leaning into the aisle.

flew FRA-BKK and return. uopper deck is devided in 2 small sections so in total 2 front row and 2 last rows. 76 Windows are great, almost 1,5 meters space. Monitors in wall. window seats have the side pockets at the window so more space for inside and on top, even your feet. middle section also good with plenty of space. Exit row 80 has most space, about 2 meters. and big Advantage for window for A and K: no window so you can lean your head against the wall. since the upper deck cabin is curved you dont have anbody Standing constantly in front of you as it is too low. tray tables in armrest have one Advantage for single travellers: no direct Body contact to neighbour. last row 78 has no disadvantages! both can recline and the window seats are great for sleep: there are no Windows so you can lean against the wall. even last rows 82 and 83 are fine: you can recline. and nobody behind who constantly knocks his tray table min your back or pushesw the tv Monitor Buttons. both planes are old! Food no good. Service good. tv programe ok, staff great. even cleaned the toilets frequently. toilets the smallest i have even seen. due to upper deck i guess. would fly again but only upper deck.

NRT - BKK, seat 2A. First time on Thai. First impression of cabin was not great. The light colored seats are looking pretty shabby. Lots of mechanical problems: broken door on storage cubby, seat wouldn't recline unless you got up off the seat, tray table very wobbly. The seat is pretty comfortable as both a seat and a bed. But no bedding offered other than pillow/blanket, and no pajamas? Even for a 6 hour late evening flight. The service was excellent, I can't say enough good about the crew. The food was excellent, interesting and plentiful. Also, excellent ground service upon arrival in BKK: cart ride to arrivals, and escort through baggage claim and customs.

Great aircraft and great seat, more leg room than the 777 and very comfy and i slept for 8 out of the 12 hour flight. However the ife looks a little big old and i would like to see something more modern like on Singapore Airlines 777 with the black screen and the remote which you can see flight info while watching a film, overall great aircraft.

Avoid avoid avoid 40k Unless you like parties occuring 20 cm from the back of your head while you try and sleep. Seriously though the space behind is a natural contregating point with loos and drinks. 40k unlike the :2 seats next to it which are back to back with crew seats , is fully exposed

Excellent plane. I am 5'11" and the flat bed is plenty of room. The window seats A and K offers extra storage on the side. Great meal services and cabin crew. This seat also offer more privacy than the aisle one.

Flight on 8.1.2017. This is the worst business seat position (11G and I guess D as well) ever. During the 11 hours flight ever 10 min someone bumped into me (I m 175 cm long and slim) due to the direction of seat and the closeness to toilet and service area. Noise level from toilet and service area was horendous. Staff was very lovely and felt also sorry about this seat (so the issue is known....). Service, Food, Drinks and entertainment are pretty good.

Try to avoid this seat. The bar is too close and thus there is a lot of movement around. This is disturbing. In addition, (this is the case for any of the seats), the flat bed is too short. I'm 186cm and my foot and my head where bumping on the top and tge bottom.

Great seat! Great service! What's most impressing is that the flight attendants seem to enjoy their job - all the time! I was treated as a special guest all the way! Never disturbed by the lavatory or the stairs (which are closed during the flight). My only objection is that the temperature is very high, which makes it hard to sleep if you're used to a cold environment.

The a and k Seats offer privacy and you have like a cabin, can leave without moving over somebody and have lots of storage, not so the b and j seats, which are on the aisle and you can expect to be bumped and woken up a lot when you only Stretch any body part one inch over your seat. I do not recommend any of this seats. It's true 25k is behind a service area, but this is not permanent. So better 25k then any b or j seat! BTW the cabin climate was dreadful and extremly dry - who said the a380 had such a good Ventilation. Food was nothing Special to mention about, nor was Service. Even the menu of loose leaflets is cryptic and be aware you have to order everything itself, otherwise you will not have an starter or desert. On the flight Manila to Singapur they offered from the Aperitif car - not so on the Long flight. Very anoying is also, that they do not serve the Drinks for the dinner first. They leave you with the "nuts-drink" and offer more Drinks when you have eaten your Food. It felt like old economy Service schemes. In the entire Business class there were no Snacks, Drinks or whatever displayed to grab during the night. I am not convinced to fly BC again in Thai.

Yes, there is no floor storage, as there is no seat in front of you. However, this is far outweighted by the fact that you get all the leg room even a very tall person could want for. Proximity to cockpit also makes it a quiet seat as the engines are far behind you. There was no child bassinet in use during my flight - that might have been bothersome if you are unfortunate enough to have a noisy child there.

My wife and I travelled out to BKK and return during January. We had the same seats both ways. Couples should always opt for odd number rows seats E&F if they want to be able to converse during the flight. Aircraft, seats and service were all good. The seats knock BA's into a cocked hat! I am 6'2" and I had no real problems with the length of the lie-flat bed. Sleep quality was not great, but it never is on any flight, Business Class or not. Business Class 17A Window seat. The measurements given for the flat bed are deceptive. The flat bed narrows extremely towards the feet. It's so narrow that if you lie on your side your legs must be straight or your knees will hit the wall. See photos. I'm only 5'6" but was pretty uncomfortable. Although a flat bed it was barely better than a standard seat. And the upholstery seemed so well worn it had gone very hard. After the Air India Dreamliner the week before which had been the same width all the way down and very comfortable this was a major disappointment, solely because of the seat. I travelled in this seat on 23/12/2015. The galley was quiet, but I was awakened or disturbed more than once by the flushing of the lavatory behind my seat. A bad seat! which I managed to change for the return journey

Standard seat. No problem with storage space. On some flights (as the one I was on) you have very little occupancy and can get the full three rows to yourself.

60D is definitely worth it; like with first class+ leg room with the absent seat in front. One minor drawback is the fold-up entertainment screen is smaller than those found in seat backs. But it's a small price to pay for the added legroom.

Thai Airways First Class is incredible. It has the biggest bathroom I have ever seen on an airplane. Once you arrive at BKK, you are driven in a buggy to a private customs area, whisked through, and given two attendants to collect your luggage, which comes up first. It was 15 min from touchdown to our car.

Fantastic business class. These are not suites, but a lot of privacy is there because of huge distance between the seats. If you are travelling with someone in business class - ensure you get seats together in the middle (even rows), otherwise you will be very far one from another. Very very good meals and service. As all A380 - very quite there (I got impression that upper deck where business class is located is quieter than lower deck)

I am 196 cm tall and the A380 business class seats are ridiculously narrow. when going in flat bed mode the legs get showed into a tiny box which does not allow turning easily. It is less than half of the SQ business class seats. The bed is too short and too narrow which only allows a mummy like position. I will try to avoid this plane the next time.

Good position in the cabin but the "b" seats in business class have a weird unusable space between the seat and the window. Alternating rows have the side table on the aisle creating more privacy and a better use if space. A, C, E, K seats have a better layout

FRA to BKK. Seat basically ok, however, flat bed is just 190cm long which limits comfort for tall people. Good privacy on window seats, but also options for couples in center seats. Food quite good. Flight attendants extremely friendly and attentive. Overall good value for price.

Excellent seat. Thai Airways provided excellent service. The seat is very quiet and should not be marked as yellow because there is no noise from the stairs (they are closed off during flight and downstairs passangers are not allowed to come up). My husband had seat 1F and it was very close.

We were 4 of us sitting in row 82. These seats fully recline and were very quiet.Flight attendants were silent and proximity of the toilets is not bothering as there are few passengers to use the toilets due to the configuration of the cabin. Overall these seats were very comfortable; the only negative could be due to turbulence as this is at the far rear of the aircraft.

The seat 14G, is a Business Class center isle seat. It is 6'2" long and narrow. In the lay flat position you feel like you are hanging in the isle. I am 6'4" so not comfortable at all.

Plenty of room although it's an open suite. If you travel with someone else in first class you can dine face to face. Lots of legroom and big table. You can even pre-order your meal online.

All A- and K-seats in the upper deck eco-compartment have a (unlockable) spacy cabinet between the seat and the window. When it is closed it could be used as an extra table

Business sears are well designed. Ideal for travel with partner in center seats closer together. Not ideal for solo traveller.. Flat bed is compact but good for sleep. Table & TV easy to use.

you may additionally mention that the spacious TG seats in 1st class offer the possibility to seat an additional Pax on the opposing "foot rest" seat - thus facing each other with still enough roóm, even for meals on 1 common table....
