While the service on this flight was excellent, the location of this seat is very awkward and annoying. A curtain is drawn to block the light from the purser's station on one side and the bathroom on the other; however, if someone opened the curtain, the light was right back in your face. FA's made sure to keep the curtain closed, but whenever they passed through, the curtain would always bump into me - very annoying when trying to sleep. Due to the location of the galley, you could also hear FA's socializing during their breaks. Avoid - especially on a nighttime flight when you want to sleep!

A340-600 is really great plane. Flying absolutely smoothly even in moderate turbulence, very queiet, almost no engine noise at all. Drawback for this seat is that through the area above the curtain ahead you look right into the light at the stairs of the lower deck toilet. As this light stays on most of the night, you have bright light in the eyes all flight making it hard to sleep. Don´t forget your sleeping mask if you would like to sleep on this seat !

A340-600 is one of the best planes out there. Really quiet and comfy plane, and LH also do the lavatories downstairs. Our seat was good and comfy with an ok legroom. The FA was very nice. All in all a 9 out of 10 flight. Thanks Lufthansa!

seat was way to firm/rock hard. The partition between Business and Premium Economy squeaked and rattled the entire flight, very annoying. Very little leg room for expensive upgrade. This old AB340 needs to be retired by Lufthansa. The B747-8i is much more comfortable.

What the SeatGuru Seat Map isn't showing is, that the alleyways get narrower towards the rear, reaching in row 58 it's narrowest part. The Lufthansa cabin crew seemed to prefer the right side alleyways to pass lumbering across sections. EACH time they passed I had another hip (or rather ass cheek) ramming into my shoulder. Worst flight of my live.

I flew on the Lufthansa equipment and all am going to say was FANTASTIC, seats are very comfortable for Economy and on top of that the lavatory was out of the way from the level where all the passengers are seated, services was spot on, friendly cabin crew

Service was great in first class. The design and layout is very modern and sleek looking. The only downside was the seat comfort, extremely stiff...... Pros: Service, food, AVOD Cons: comfort needs improvement.

First class service was excellent. Lufthansa always provides friendly service. Unfortunately, the seats were very uncomfortable. They were very firm; hard as a rock. I don't know if this jet was very old or not, but for the $$$ we paid to fly from Frankfurt to LAX, the seats should have been the best level of comfort.

Our plane was switched and we were given H and K, unfortunately this isle is where the seat starts to angle, so this isle seat less leg room, overall it was crowded, AC was roomier.

Worst business class I ever flew, there is absolutely no privacy againts the neighbouring seat in business. In other companies, they either have a separation (BA) or more space between the seats, but here the layout is such that you share everything with your neighbour. Not what you expect from a business ticket. Never again Lufhansa.

I flew MUC-DEN on this aircraft in May, 2017. The seat was great, easily the best row in Premium Economy due to the exit row. Service was great, however Premium Economy passengers were served the same meal as Economy passengers. I would fly this aircraft and seat again; another note, the downstairs lavatories free up space and foot traffic throughout the plane!

Premium seats: no way! The extra legroom is a joke. When the seats in front of us were laid back we couldn't get out or put up our trays without disturbing the people in front of us to raise their seat backs. Row 28 had much more room and they are standard economy. Row 28 is coded yellow because of a bulkhead limiting legroom. However, there is no bulkhead! Seats 28A/B had more legroom and were cheaper.

beware of this very spacious premium eco center section. There is a ton of legroom, but other passengers will invariably think it is a passage to cross to the other aisle. We had tons of people shuffling over our stretched out legs and hand luggage until we put a stop to it. Very inconvenient because the monitors are in the seatbacks ahead so every time someone wants to cross over they block your screen. Also trip and bump into your legs. Just be aware and block the passage somehow, the others will get the message

We flew this plane on August 2017 from Munich to Denver (LH480). The flight was very good, like the one of past year from Munich to Los Angeles. Those lateral seats are good if you are two people: you can be alone and not disturbed by third persone. The seats are comfortable, with a personal enterteinment device like on all other Lufthansa planes. The legs space is a little bit more unconfortable for the seat 47A because of the curve shape of the fusolage.

Contrary to what SeatGuru states, this is an amazing place with plenty of legroom; I could stretch my legs without a problem, as there is no bulkhead between Economy and Premium Economy. The monitor on the backrest of the seat in front is too far to reach, so there is an additional fold-out monitor in the armrest. This might slightly reduce the seat width, but I still felt comfortable during the whole 11 hours trip. I highly recommend this seat to any economy class passenger, and would like to thank the Lufthansa ground crew and the Frankfurt gate for assigning this seat to me!

Very good seat, tons of legroom. Even more legromm than most of the Premium Economy seats. It is not a bulk head as it is directly behind the last row of premium economy seats. The entertainment screen comes out from beliw the arm rest. I would highly recomend this seat for economy passengers!

The configuration is interesting here. It might bother you or simply please you since despite the fact that your screen is slightly left and there is an obstacle in the middle of your legroom, you have a lot of extra legroom from the seat 53D.

Excellent Premium Eco Seats with ample of legroom. Keep in mind that these seats may get a little chilly and that the windows are sligthly misaligned. The middle seats in row 25 have more than 150cm of legroom.

Spacious seat, plenty of leg room, no box under the seat in front, room down the side of the seat to store some stuff. But the seat padding was not comfortable after a few hours (numb bum) and I'm average weight. When passenger in front reclines, the screen is in your face so you also need to recline fully.

Lufthansa is an amazing airline in all classes of travel, but their first class is in a class of its own. The new seats are very comfortable and the bedding is luxurious and you will wake refreshed. The service is without a flaw and the crew is well versed in satisfying any request you may have.

Flight EWR to MUN. Seat was roomy and rather comfortable for economy. In flight entertainment was good. The A346 was a beautiful aircraft and up to date. Only con is the lower level bathrooms for anyone with a disability.

This seat has no window. It has no under-thigh support. so it is not very comfortable seat. Getting out from this seat to toilets is not convenient, unless you are ready to bother two people in the front and one next to you. I wont recommend this seat.

Flew BOS-MUC in 24D. Seems improved versus when I flew LH PremEco a year ago. I'm 5'11" & average build and found the seats comfortable enough to have slept through the night until awakened by cheerful breakfast service -- really appreciated that there's no guilt fully reclining because there's so much space behind row 24 for the emergency exit pathway. Headrest moves up & down and sides fold almost as far as to a right angle if desired. Headphones provided but they are not noise-canceling. No kit (blinders, toothbrush, socks) provided. Lower power outlet didn't work for the whole flight - USB by the monitor did, however. Meals were decent. It felt like a decent value to pay the extra cost for this seat because it tinkers with the edge of luxury enough to bring much greater flying satisfaction -- no regrets. Aside: I traveled with my bike/box and it was considered included luggage -- BRAVO.

SFO to MUC. This is a great seat. There is a barrier like a door between F and B, so quite private. Very comfortable as both seat and bed. Service fantastic all around. Food was meh.

Seat 52D and the other center seats in this row are narrower than the seats in front of them to accommodate the curvature of the plane. The center seats in row 53 are also narrower and so are the side seats starting at row 51.

Route MUC>ICN, not a bad choice to use 340, seat itself is ok for Eco, recline is very good but on max might bother the person behind you. Pitch is not the best, but you can survive it. Stairs do not disturb, it feels a little cosy due to the smaller width of the plane (visually). Temperature is ok, somenoise from galley, when preparing food rounds. Be aware that baby bassinets are stored in that area, so storage room is very limited. Anyhow, would take that seat again.

Bulkhead seats get an extra foldout footrest, but the position of the bulkhead actually means you get slightly less legroom. As there's no seats in front of you, no one can recline into your area which makes exiting your seat easier

This row has the bulkhead in front which curtails legroom quite a bit if you have long legs. Should be marked yellow. The standard economy row 28 also has a bulkhead which consists of a flimsy curtain and therefore offers more legroom than this premium economy row.

This is a good seat with plenty of legroom. However, the screen is a long way from seat and therefore difficult to use touch screen. The is however an in seat remote which crew don't seem to know can be used to control the touch screen! You have to slide your finger across the main center button. Shame it took me 7 hrs into an 8 hr flight to figure that out!

Seat 1G is a middle First Class Seat. It is located in front of the toilet and behind a service area. Flight attendents and passengers stept into your privacy area in order to go to the toilet or to deal with the service area. Hence, first Class Privacy is not granted. Same applies to seat 1F. As all other middle seats in F, there is no overhead compartment. Consequently you have to fight with the passengers on the window seat for storage. This is not on the level of first class! 11A. Careful about the back section of business. I made a big mistake in booking the bulkhead window. It is tight, no room for any window storage as your left side is literally against the wall and window. The roomier and more comfortable seats in the section are clearly the middle ones, 11/12G-D

Honestly, I love all the A340s and A330s, in my opinion, there are the best for long-haul-travel in economy, due to the 2-4-2-seating. It is such a pain having to climb over 2 people when going from window seat to the aisle - or having 2 people that have to climb over you when sitting at the aisle (even more so at night). So it is great that there is no seat more than one other seat apart from the aisle. Furthermore, especially the A340-600 is very quite, very calm in the air, and the lower deck lavatories are extraordinary roomy. Such a pitty this airplane is no longer produced by Airbus...

Having flown the A340-600 for the first time it has become my favourite aircraft! The front cabin is even more quiet than the A380, and way quieter than the 747, even the new 747-8I. Further back there is admittedly a bit more low-pitch rumble from the engines, but still very quiet. Lufthansa has now changed their business class seats to lie-flat. The window seats are parallell to each other whilst the middle seats are angled in towards each other. Very comfortable seats, but why LH is still keeping business class in 2-2-2 configuration puzzles me. Window seat passengers has to climb over their aisle seat co-traveller to get in and out. Should definitely have been a different configuration with aisle access for all seats. Anyway, great seats and great plane, shame they are beeing replaced by A350 soon.

This seat was comfortable, and allowed easy access to the overhead bins during a long flight. Lots of legroom too! However, it was used by flight attendants and other passengers as an aisle throughout the flight, which was disruptive. The entertainment screen is quite a distance from the passenger, which could be difficult to reach at times for shorter passengers. Over-all, a great seat.

Flew this version to Munich and back from JFK.Seat was just enough for me as I am big and tall.(6"4" 320lbs.) If much bigger it would have been tough.Seat belt was fine without extender.I stay buckled throughout flight.Food was good...service polite and attentive.The big issue on this plane is toilets.Look at seat plan ...5 toilets for economy and prem. econ.(245)and10 for first and business(52).Plus to access toilets you must go down flight of stairs. Big line coming from 4 directions in middle of galley area.Must move around crew and confused fliers.Fellow fliers were very polite about letting each other go ahead.On one flight FA's let a few elderly fliers go to 1st./Bus. toilets but it was limited.Also the statement about narrower seat 22A-K due to tray table in armrest somewhat inaccurate..all seats have tray table in armrest.They seemed the same as our seat with lots of legroom and no setback coming at you.I would take that seat if I was to fly this version again.

Flew ORD-MUC on A340-600 V5. It's a modern and new plane, nice seat-back monitors in Economy with USB connect side of screen; Economy seats are ergonomic, seat slides slightly horizontally forward when inclined. I'm 5'10" and was comfortable, able to cross my leg. Window on 51A is ideal, allows your head to rest on wall when seat is reclined. I checked out seat 55 A/B and 56 A/B they will be my preference due to wider isle in the back of the plane, gives sense of more space. Food was average, flight attendandants on my flight were below the standard that is typically Lufthansa. Overall I would say this flight is the best from Chicago to Germany. FYI-I walked around the plane and noticed that it is markedly colder around seats 37H/J, 36HJ, 35H/J, 34H/J. Area in the back of the plane (rows 44-58) were at good temperature. The best x-tra legroom in Economy is row 28 - no bulkhead in front, just a curtain and plenty of space for your legs.

Quite tight for such a large plane. Other airline consider the customer better than UA. Squeezing in a few seats will lose you customers in the long run,and then you can fly with empty seats.

Flew on Premium Economy seat 25A from Munich to São Paulo, a 12h flight and could sleep fairly well most of the trip. PTV is HD and the whole interior was brand new. The only drawback is that due to the emergency exit (and thus extra legroom) the row in front is far from this seat, which means that the PTV is also far from you and the headphones provided by Lufthansa lack enough wire for you to enjoy the IFE with the seat reclined. Should you have your personal headphones with extra wiring, everything is OK and the flight will be pleasant.
