Airline Overview
Bangkok Airways (PG) is a regional Thai airline founded in 1968 as Sahakol Air. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is its primary hub, and Phuket International Airport (HKT) and Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) are secondary hubs. The carrier, which brands itself as "Asia's Boutique Airline," files to about 25 destinations, of which 11 are domestic. International destinations include countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar and Singapore. Bangkok Airways also has codeshare agreements with 19 other carriers. Its fleet of 29 aircraft primarily consists of one-cabin Economy Class configurations; however, some of its Airbus A319-100 planes also have Business Class cabins.
