What is Unaccompanied Minor Service?

Young children traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered to be Unaccompanied Minors. Most airlines provide a service to assist these children from their point of departure to their final destination.

What services does Air Europa provide?

Air Europa provides a service called The UM which is mandatory for passengers between the ages of 5 and 11 year old (domestic flights) and 5 and 14 years old (international flights) who are traveling without an adult. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult. This service is not provided when stopover durations exceed 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Air Europa also provides a service called The Young People option for passengers between the ages of 12 and 17 years old.

What are the fees associated with this service?

The UM Service

  • Direct National flights (Spain): €30 per direction
  • Direct flights to Europe/Canary Islands/Africa: €50 per direction
  • Direct long-haul flights: €70 per direction or €100 if the flight involves onward transfer

  • Courtesy service
