Overview

This ANA Boeing 787-8 aircraft features a two class configuration with 42 Business Class recliner seats and 198 Economy seats.

The 787-8 configurations will feature LED lighting throughout the aircraft, windows about 1.3 times bigger than conventional airplanes, an economy class bar, larger overhead bins, and TOTO washlets in each lavatory which provides users with a warm-water bidet function.

This seat does not feature Seatback TV, rather the screen is in the arm rest and may not be used during taxi, takeoff, and landing, thus taking 45' off on either at least. Also, the seat feels a bit more constrainted since also the wall caves in a bit.

Seat is comfortable

Flew business class Honolulu (HNL) to Tokyo-Narita (NRT) in 4K. Note that these seats are NOT flatbeds. More like a narrow living-room recliner. Managed to get an OK sleep due to exhaustion but wouldn't recommend for very long-haul flights.

This seat is as advertised. It is a middle seat with the window seat removed. So there is nothing to lean up against for those long flights. I flew from Narita to Honolulu on this aircraft. The seats are really close together. I'm 6' and my knees were smashed into the seat in front of me. Not comfortable at all.. I think I'll stick to United or AA economy plus seating where you get more leg room.

Good legroom but door eats into your personal space. It felt a bit cramped plus you only get half a window.. Maybe even less.

The business class seats in this configuration and very uncomfortable for long haul flights (KUL-NRT). They have limited recline and the entertainment options are limited.

Bulkhead seat, good legroom, there is some noise and light from the galley, but not enough to prevent me from sleeping for four hours on the flight, even in the somewhat funky cradle business seat

I flew this version #3 (3-3-3) of the 787 on a Monday from NRT-BKK and found the seats quite different than the 2-4-2 versions 1 & 2.The seats were not the awful "shell" type seats in the other two configs, but the typical seats found in most economy sections. They may be like United's econ seats, with slight seat cushion moving forward and seat back tilting back. This is far superior to the other two 787 2-class configs ANA uses. Even the seat cushions were more comfortable. I moved to the last row, which was empty and found recline to be at least the equal of my other E seat. The seat width, even with extra row (9) seemed OK.
